CGT online course
The FPI is presenting an online course in capital gains tax (CGT), presented by FISA member, Carmen Venter, CFP® FPSA®. FISA accredits this workshop with 6.5 CPD points for Estate Planning OR Estates OR Trusts, and 0.5 CPD points in addition upon successful completion of the online test. The purpose of this online course is to update and refresh knowledge and skills pertaining to aspects of Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and the impact it has on financial planning. This course will empower participants with the knowledge and skills to consider the implications and impact of CGT on financial advice and how to structure financial advice accordingly. This course’s legislation does not include this year’s draft proposals.

Conflicts of interest
At the STEP Cape Town annual general meeting on 21 June 2018, Louis van Vuren, FISA CEO and Rassie van Niekerk, STEP member, will co-present on “How to identify and deal with conflicts of interest in the fiduciary investment space.” FISA accredits this presentation with 1 CPD point for ethics.
