The Government Printing Works (GP) started publishing arrear editions of the legal notice gazettes again around mid-March. The automated booking system is apparently still not operational and the manual process communicated before will have to be used. Members are also referred to Chief Master’s Directive 1 of 2020, which pointed out that neither section 29 nor section 35(5) of the Administration of Estates Act, 66 of 1965, requires the advertisements to appear in the newspaper and the Government Gazette on the same day and that the notice days should be counted from the date of the last of the two publications.
