René Kotzé is FPSA® Top Candidate

At the 8th Annual FISA Conference held at the Sandton Convention Centre on 20 September, the annual FPSA® Top Candidate Award for the 2017 FPSA® examinations was handed over to Ms René Kotzé of PSG Wealth in Pretoria.

The award is made to the person who achieved the highest average marks in the three required modules in the previous FPSA® examinations.  Ms Kotzé achieved an average mark of 88% for Law and Ethics in Fiduciary Services, Wills Consultation and Drafting, and Deceased Estate Administration.

The award consists of a trophy, a certificate, a R10,000 cash prize and free registration to the conference at which the prize is handed over.

In the picture of the handing over appears, from left to right:  Ms René Kotzé, Ms Angélique Visser (FISA Vice-Chairperson) and Dr Eben Nel (FISA Chairperson).

This was the last year in which the award will be made, as the FPSA® examinations have been discontinued at the end of 2017, and are replaced with a requirement that members aspiring to the FPSA® status must complete successfully the Advanced Diploma in Estate and Trust Administration.  At the moment this qualification is only offered by the University of the Free State.
