Paragraph 5.6 of the previous CPD Charter caused some confusion for members, as the CPD cycle no longer runs from 1 April to 31 March, but from 1 January to 31 December of the following year. The current cycle is for the period 2025/2026 and the next cycle will be for the period 2026/2027.
In addition, the Charter did not previously provide for the allocation of pro rata CPD points when a member joined FISA mid-cycle.
To address these issues, Council resolved on 11 June 2026 to amend Paragraph 5.6 of the CPD Charter. To view the amended CPD Charter, please click here.
