FISA received requests for a list of magisterial districts falling under each Master’s Office’s jurisdiction.
The Chief Master has confirmed that the jurisdiction of a Master coincides with the jurisdiction of the seat of the High Court. See the excerpt from an email form the Chief Master below.
“In respect of the area of jurisdiction of each Master’s office it is aligned to the area of jurisdiction of the High Court as per sections 2(1)(a)(ii) ;3(1) and 4 of Act 66 of 1965 . So in this case your members need to check under the judiciary website or use Hortors diary where the details of the areas that fall within each High Court are indicated therein.”
