It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Mr. Arnold Shapiro’s passing on 23 June 2026, at the age of 75.
Arnold’s humility and modesty left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was a source of inspiration at the Johannesburg FISA meetings and contributed greatly as a speaker at the 2013 FISA Conference. His dedication and service were recognised when he received the FISA Chairperson’s Award in 2024 — an honor that meant a great deal to him.
Arnold will be remembered not only for his professional contributions but also for the kindness and integrity he brought to every interaction. His legacy will continue to inspire the FISA community and beyond.
