The FISA Gauteng regional committee vice-chairperson, Pierre van Jaarsveld, passed away on 27 December 2020. Pierre fell ill while on holiday in Cape Town with a Covid-19 related lung problem, was admitted to hospital and passed away a few days later after making good progress initially.
Pierre was a long-standing and loyal FISA member who made regular technical contributions about deceased estate administration at Gauteng regional meetings. He was elected to the position of Gauteng regional vice-chairperson in 2019.
“Pierre was very excited about the heritage display that is planned for Graaff-Reinet and contributed a number of items. He was so much looking forward to the opening in March. We will surely miss him as person and his valuable contributions to the fiduciary industry,” says Dr Eben Nel, FISA Chairperson.
