Standard Bank postponed the reintroduction of estates portal

FISA received the following communication from Standard Bank:

Standard Bank has taken the decision to delay the relaunch of their online “Estate reporting portal” due to the prevalence of reduced staff across all offices during to the festive period.

As a result, they will commence with a graded release in January.

They are planning on contracting with a few Executors to test the system early in January. This will allow them to ensure that they understand the level of support required and the tools which will be needed.

Upon going live again, they envisage a full support team being available to address any challenges and remove obstacles to allow Executors to gain confidence in the system.

Standard Bank will keep the current interim process in place to ensure continuity for Executors whilst they reintroduce teams to the portal.

Current Interim process:

As an interim solution, whilst we are working on getting us back online, all new requests can be emailed to us at deceasedqueries@standardbank.co.za

To avoid delayed responses, please ensure the following certified documents are attached to the email request:

  • Death Certificate
  • ID copy of the Deceased
  • Letter of Executorship / Authority
  • Notice of Death (BI1663)
  • ID copy of the executor
  • Current Account statement / confirmation of the Estate Late Account

All existing requests currently logged on the portal will still be actioned and responses will be communicated to you via deceasedqueries@standardbank.co.za
