Cape Town Master limits public access

FISA received the following communication from the Cape Town Master, via the Chief Master’s office:

“We have 29 staff members in isolation and 16 staff members on leave. This totals 45 staff members, without those who call in sick. We are therefore not in a position to serve members of the public in person at this juncture. We need to safeguard the rest of our staff, lest we have to close the entire office during the next few days.

I had to make a decision that members of the public cannot access our office with immediate effect, except emergencies eg. Funerals.

Members of the public and stakeholders are required to be informed of the current position. Notices were put up this morning.

All enquiries should be directed to MasterCapeTown@justice.gov.za. ”
