Messages were distributed on social media networks that all the photocopiers have been removed from the Master’s Office: Pretoria by the contracted service provider due to unpaid accounts. According to the messages, copies of documents could not be supplied to practitioners as a result of this.
In response to a request by FISA to the Office of the Chief Master for confirmation or comment, the DoJ issued a media statement on 13 December 2023. According to the statement alternative arrangements have been made to supply copies and the photocopiers were removed after the expiry of a contract and not because of non-payment of accounts.
