During the past week a business sent marketing e-mails to some FISA members. It is unclear where the business sourced the e-mail addresses. FISA does not supply anybody outside FISA with membership lists containing e-mail addresses and will not share any such information with anyone without the member’s permission. At the same time FISA does display members’ details on the FISA website to enable potential clients to source a fiduciary practitioner when needed. It is possible that the business in question copied these records one by one from the website. FISA is investigating ways to ensure that these details cannot be used without a member’s permission.FISA does not supply members’ contact details to anyone
